The trip went fine... and guess who have arrived - the baby raccoons! There were three at one point, but I only saw 2 of them tonight. They are teeny tiny and cute as buttons. No pics yet, but soon. I sat outside with them for a while tonight and got within about 10 feet.... they are so curious and stand up on their hind legs to get a good look... while their mom just munches kibbles and doesn't bat an eye. At one point she wandered over to the pool for a drink, leaving me between her and the kids. But she didn't seem to care in the least.
I am reading a great book about weight loss (I think the principles could be used for weight gain, too, if that's what you need). It's called the Gabriel Method and I ordered it through one of the ads on this site! The drift is your body wants you fat (if you are fat) for a reason, such as to protect you from something, and you have to figure out what the reason is and then get it to think it is better (safer) to be thin. Of course you do this through visualizations, affirmations and what sounds like self-hypnosis. Haven't finished it yet, but it makes sense so far.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Coolio that the trip was good and YAY mini raccoons!! It
makes sense that the mom was cool with you. She knows you. And I imagine that you have a very reassuring presence, especially with animals.

Interesting approach...
