Years ago, Oprah plugged the idea of a grateful journal. Her idea was to write down five things we're greatful for every day.

That I have a roof over my head, clothing, clean water & food, and enough money to pay my bills.

 Being able to continue studying for as long as I want My nephews Having food and clean water and freedom and somewhere nice and warm to live that's my own, i.e. a relatively easy life Coffee My health the kittyI'm really not from here.

1) Tea. I am grateful for a cup of tea and the moment of silence that accompanies such warmth. 2) A hot shower. 3) A fresh powder day at the ski hill. 4) My family. 5) All novels, and in particular those novels that I love and that open worlds to me that I can't get to on a plane. |

5'o clock in the morning - when the world feels like it is my own. my most optimistic productive and clear-thinking time of day. my car for being old and rusty but still getting me where i need to go safely everytime and meaning i don't have to go on public transport much AND for not getting jealous when i admire other cars when sitting inside it. my medication. for working and allowing me to have good days. my $10 heater for making my room incredibly warm any time i ask it to. |
