I told my GP about my holter-results. I told her that the cardiologist said it was pretty much OK, but that I had seen my file. That in a period of about 12 hours I had about 6500 extra heartbeats. She sounded a little shocked, nearly. First it was silent. Then she said: "66...hĂșndred?!?" Erm. Yeah. So, now you know, I'm NOT lying.
Of course, "well just wait for the other tests then". That wasn't my point, but well. At least I got her a bit more 'alert' to the "seriousness" of the occurrence of it. (I do feel childish kind of 'enjoying' her reaction but I feel she hasn't taken me seriously in this regard at ALL so I can't really help but feeling this way
I also asked to get my potassium checked, knowing that much of this may be stress. She did order them, but for next week. I asked her if it could be done today. In my head that makes a big difference. I have a weekend to get through and after a few nasty evenings and nights, I just want to get a bit of rest in my head about this.
I followed her advice yesterday: I drank tomatojuice and ate a banana. But man, did I have a bad, bad night. My stomach reacted by producing big amounts of acids and my heart starting to give a lot of extrasystoles again, plus some bad sweating and cold chills. It made the relation even more clear between fruits/stomachacids and extraystoles. For me that's enough. Since I can't take meds for my stomach yet, I have to look for ways to make it a bit easier and that simply excludes fruits.
I don't want to do it like this, really I don't. But for now it seems to be the only possible way to handle it
Supplements I won't get, unless my potassium is too low. I can understand that, even though there are some doubts in my head about it. But I don't want to sound too stubborn or self-medicating so I'll go for getting it checked today and see what comes out of it.
