for the past 2-3 months my diet hasn't been exactly stellar.
I keep eating the same things over and over again and I seem to be eating less and less.
I have absolutely no desire to cook a meal for myself.
Usually it's not too bad ;cause my mum'll cook something for me or I'll eat what she cooks for dinner...
But now that she's gone on a long holiday, I haven't really made any effort to make anything. The thought of eating grosses me out for the most of it.
The only things I still enjoy eating are rice cakes, veggie burgers and oat cakes (just ground oats mixed with water and baked into cookies).
And I'll have a smoothie if I can muster up the effort to make one. For vegetables I'll have eggplants, tomatoes and occasionally zucchini's, roasted in the oven. But I don't always take the effort to fix myself some vegetables, eventhough it's real easy.
I'm trying to add brussels sprouts to my diet as well (next time I go to the shop). When I feel faint I force myself to have some cashews.
And I don't mind eating sponge cake, but 1 cake has 4 eggs... so if I eat an entire cake (in say 10 days), well.. I'd have eaten way too much eggs!
Because I don't see this changing any time soon, I was wondering if it'd be a good idea to add something like a protein shake to my diet ( I have my eye on a tub of vanilla whey protein). 'Cause with the way I'm eating, I doubt I'm getting in enough protein. And taking 1-2 shakes would at least add some calories.
I was also thinking about getting something like spirulina powder to sneak in some extra nutrients to my smoothies, but my main concern is getting the protein shake I suppose, since I'm already taking a multi vitamin.
